Tasty beef stew with a hint of stroganoff  and tempting flavours added! I mention it is challenging, it’s not really challenging however when I need to light up things in my dishes I always get positively excited :). Besides that the stew is easy to make and it just takes 30 min real work but the meat is taking some more time to get ready.

  • 300 gr beef stripes
  • 300 gr different mushrooms
  • 1 red onion
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 1 tablespoon powdered paprika
  • pickles
  • 2 tablespoons cooking cream
  • 70 ml Pastis
  • 150 g white rice

How to prepare it:

Peel the garlic and cut it in half. Remove the root. Peel the onion and cut it into quarters and then into thin strips. Finely chop the parsley. Cut the pickles into thin slices.

Cut the mushrooms into quarters. Season the beef stripes

Put a large casserole on the heat and melt some baking butter in it. As soon as the butter has melted, add the beef stripes and the mushrooms and fry over high heat. Now add the onion and squeeze out the garlic, leave it for a while. Let the beef simmer for about an hour. Add some water and stir regularly

Add the pickles and parsley after an hour. Now extinguish everything with the pastis, light it and let the alcohol burn. As soon as the fire is out, add the powdered paprika and the cooking cream. Stir well
