Time for some casual food in between the holidays. Chicken breasts with bacon and mozzarella. Still nice and somewhat special but also casual enough to make, perfect for these in between days.

Chicken with Bacon and Mozzarella

Ingredients for 4 pers.:

  • 4 chicken breasts
  • 8 pieces of bacon
  • 1 mozzarella
  • salt and pepper

How to prepare it:

Start with prepping the chicken breasts. Cut the edges (if needed) from the filets. Sprinkle some salt and pepper on both sides. Cut the mozzarella in thin slices. Lay a couple of mozzarella slices on top of the chicken breasts. Wrap the bacon around the chicken breasts and the mozzarella. Do this for all chicken breasts.

Put a frying pan on the stove. Add some butter. Once the butter is hot, you can put the chicken breasts in the pan. Fry the chicken breasts mostly on the side without the mozzarella, otherwise the mozzarella will melt into the pan. You need to fry the chicken breasts for about 10-15 minutes depending on the thickness. Fry them on the mozzarella side for 3 minutes.
