The combination of meat wrapped in parma ham with sage is originally coming from Italy with it’s famous veal in parma ham or Saltimbocca. This version is more for an every day meal with chicken fillets and a sage-butter instead of a white wine sauce. This is a perfect dish if you want to create something special with little effort.
Ingredients for 2 pers.:
- 2 chicken fillets
- 50 gr parhma ham
- fresh sage
- salt and pepper
- rich butter
How to prepare it:
Clean the chicken fillets and season them with some salt and pepper. Place the sage on top of the chicken and wrap them with the ham.
Put a baking pan on the stove and melt the butter. Bake the chicken fillets on both sides, approx. 15 minutes in total, depending on the thickness of the fillets. In the meantime, you can chop the remaining sage leaves.
Remove the chicken from the pan and put the pan back on the stove. Add some additional butter and let it melt. Add the sage leave and fry them for a minute. Serve the chicken with a small spoon of the sage-butter.
