Ingredients for 2 pers.:

  • 40 gr custard
  • 75 g stroopwafels (Dutch specialty)
  • 2 pears
  • 1 apple
  • cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

How to prepare it:

Prepare the custard as indicated on the packaging, we use the pudding version. Put the warm custard in the serving glasses and place in the fridge for at least 3 hours.

In the meantime, you can make the preparations for the other layers. Cut the stroopwafels small with a sharp knife.

Peel the pears and apple and cut them into small pieces. Put a small saucepan on the heat and add the apple and pear pieces with some cinnamon and the maple syrup. Simmer for an hour (stir occasionally) until the pieces are soft but not yet mashed.

Cool down the apple and pears.

Remove the pudding from the fridge just before serving. Place a layer of finely chopped syrup waffle on top of the pudding and a layer of fruit on top of the cookies. Serve with a small stroopwafel and a little whipped cream (as desired).
