Entrecote with mozarella and tomatoes

Ingredients for 4 pers.:

  • 4 pieces of entrecote (contre-filet)
  • 1 mozzarella
  • pesto
  • sun-dried tomatoes
  • salt and pepper

How to prepare it:

Place a frying pan on the stove and pre-heat your oven to 150 degrees.

Add some butter to the pan. Cut the mozzarella into thin slices, do the same for the sun-dried tomatoes. With regards to the pesto, you can always use pesto from the grocery store but if you want to you can also try to make fresh pesto yourself; see my pesto recipe.

Once your butter is ready you can fry the entrecotes, add some salt and a lot of pepper to the steak. Fry the steak for 2 minutes on both sides. Put the steaks into a oven dish. Cover them with some slices of mozzarella, sun-dried tomatoes and a bit of pesto.

Put the entrecotes for 7 min in the oven until the mozzarella becomes really soft.
