The combination of meat wrapped in parma ham with sage is originally coming from Italy with it's famous veal in parma ham or Saltimbocca. This version is more for an every day meal with chicken fillets and a sage-butter instead of a white wine sauce. This is a perfect dish if you want to create something special with little effort.
Stew made with a caramel tinted bock beer gives the meat a very special but subtle flavour and it smells delicious in your house whilst this is cooking. The best part of stews is that you can enjoy a drink with your guests and don't have to be up and running around in your kitchen as the food is cooking itself!
Imagine; it's cold and dark outside but you are sitting in your cozy kitchen with a nice glass of red wine and the smell of a lovely beef stew that has been simmering for 2,5 hours.... I cannot wait! By the way also a great dish for when you are cooking for a bigger group of guests.
Lovely meat balls in a fully filled vegetable sauce.
Fall is coming, time for mushrooms! I love the warm and well flavoured taste of mushrooms in all ways and forms. Hereby and easy starter or lunch dish!
Sometimes you just want to eat quick and not so healthy... somewhat at least or food that has a unhealthy vibe but maybe is not so not healthy after all. This is my not so unhealthy version of a nice sandwich with kebab and garlic sauce! :)
New filled chicken roll version with grilled pointed peppers and a black olive paste. Good in combination with the earlier posted risotto with grilled peppers and feta!
In the Netherlands the summer has started somewhere in April - May, we have been very lucky with long summer evenings and a lot of sunshine already. Personally, when the weather is really good I preferably do not eat heavy meals but just a pasta, salad or some tapas is good enough. This is a really nice and freshly tasting potato salad that is richly filled with bacon, tomatoes and much more, so a great meal for a long summer night!
Smooth, soft but still juicy chicken with a hint of the Mediterraneans! Close your eyes and you will smell the Spanish kitchen!
