Garlic

I just love the taste of garlic, it brings a second dimension to several dishes. As you might have noticed already, I’m using it heavily. One of the downsides of the garlic is the smell the next day. This smell is mainly caused by the root of the garlic that your body cannot process quickly. This is exactly the reason that I always remove the root of the garlic. It’s very easy and your co-workers will be very grateful the next day.

The only thing you need to do is the following; peel off the skin of the garlic clove. Cut the clove in half, in the long direction and cut out the root with a small knife (on both sides). Often it comes out really easy and you don’t actually need to cut it. After that you can cut or squeeze the garlic into the form you want to have.
