Spicy pumpkin, baked in the oven with soft melted cheese!

Ingredients for 4 pers.:

  • 1 pumpkin
  • 1 boll mozzarella
  • 25 gr salted butter
  • Chili flakes

How to prepare it:

Pre-heat the oven to 200 degrees.

Cut the pumpkin in half and after that in thin pieces. Remove the skin (be careful). Put the pieces into an oven dish. Melt the butter (in a pan or in the microwave) and add some chili flakes to the melted butter. Use the butter to grease the pumpkin and sprinkle the remaining butter on top.

Put the pumpkin into the oven. Cut the mozzarella into thin slices.

After 10 minutes you can take the pumpkin out of the oven. Use the melted butter on the bottom of the dish to grease the pumpkin again. Put the pumpkin back into the oven and bake them for another 10 minutes. Repeat the previous action and put the slices of mozzarella on top of the pumpkin, sprinkle some chili flakes on top. Put the pumpkin back into the oven for another 10 minutes. Check if the pumpkin is soft, if this is the case it’s ready to serve. Otherwise please put the pumpkin back for a couple of minutes.
