The most important tip for this recipe: buy your steak at a decent butcher and not in the grocery store! This will immediately improve the taste of the dish! Further fresh peppercorns and a good red wine!

Ingredients for 4 pers.:

  • 600 gr rump steak
  • fresh peppercorns
  • 150 ml red wine
  • 100 ml cooking cream
  • lemon juice
  • salt
  • maizena

How to prepare it:

Put a baking pan on the stove. Add a bit of butter, once the butter is melted and hot you can add the steaks. Fry the steaks (depending on the thickness of the steak) approx.. 3 minutes on each side. Take the steaks out of the pan and wrap them in thin foil.

Grind the pepper, add the pepper to the hot frying pan that you used to fry the steaks. Add the wine and let the wine vaporize a bit, stir well and add the lemon juice and a bit of salt. Add the cooking cream and let it boil. If you feel that the sauce is too thin you can add a bit of maizena. Take a bit of maizena, use some water to rap the maizena. Add the maizena to the sauce and get the sauce back to boiling level.

Unwrap the steaks and put them on a plate. Add a bit of sauce on top
