Fall is coming, time for mushrooms! I love the warm and well flavoured taste of mushrooms in all ways and forms. Hereby and easy starter or lunch dish!
In the Netherlands the summer has started somewhere in April - May, we have been very lucky with long summer evenings and a lot of sunshine already. Personally, when the weather is really good I preferably do not eat heavy meals but just a pasta, salad or some tapas is good enough. This is a really nice and freshly tasting potato salad that is richly filled with bacon, tomatoes and much more, so a great meal for a long summer night!

It has been a long time ago that we ate this golden oldie dish but recently I somehow got into the mood and I was not disappointed. Yes, it's not really easy to make but if you follow all the steps, it is not too hard either. And it is really nice, a bit sweet due to the carrot but savory due to the bacon, spicy cheese and the mustard. I really liked it.
Christmas is over again, how was it? Had a good time? Done with fine dining? Time for some real good food. Try out this typical Dutch pea soup. Normally, the soup should be thick enough to make sure your spoon can stand in it. I'm not a favour of that so I usually make it slightly less thick. Enjoy!
Fall is here! Very tasty mash with mushrooms, brie and bacon if you wish. You can make this a vegetarian dish as well, I've had it without the bacon and it was delicious.
