I love pasta's; you can wake me up for all different kinds of it; penne, cannelloni, a 'regular' tagliatelle but especially ravioli. In this case I wanted to make my birthday a little bit more festive and decided to make ravioli's with Dutch shrimps and a creamy lobster sauce, which I luckily still had in my freezer. Oke, I have to admit; this is not the best looking pasta ever but you should still give it a try! It's a great combination with the salty smoked salmon, the bitterness of the chicory and the smooth sauce with some nutmeg in it.

Pasta Carbonara is one of the most traditional pasta's made in Italy. It's very easy to make although maybe a bit tricky so you do have to pay attention, it's full of delicious carbs and very pure in its taste! This is by the way one of the reasons I like Italian style cooking so much. Of course the traditional Pasta Carbonara is made with pancetta. Since I do not eat pancetta myself I decided to give the recipe a Tempting Flavours twist; Pasta Carbonara with salmon.
