Tarte flambe with smoked salmon, tomatoes and mozzarella…my personal favorite! For this dish I do not make the crust myself, since you can buy really good once. Just make sure that the crust is really, really thin. It’s not a pizza! It’s just an appetizer.

Ingredients for 1 Tarte Flambe.:

  • 1 crust for Tarte Flambé
  • 100 gr smoked salmon
  • 1 mozzarella
  • Sundried tomatoes
  • Fresh basil leaves
  • 100 ml crème fraiche
  • nutmeg
  • pepper

How to prepare it:

Pre-heat the oven to 240 degrees.

Put the crust for the Tarte Flambé on the griddle. Cover the crust with the crème fraiche, make sure you cover all the edges. Grate some nutmeg on top and add some pepper as well.

Cut the salmon into small pieces and put the pieces on the flammkuchen. Cut the sundried tomatoes and the mozzarella. Divide the tomatoes and the cheese on top of the flammkuchen. Finish off with some basil leaves on top.

Bake the Tarte Flambé in the oven for about 5-8 minutes
