Ingredients for 2 pers.:

  • 300 g beef rib
  • 500 g potatoes
  • 2 apples
  • 200 g forest mushrooms
  • 1 onion
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 cloves
  • 300 ml beef stock

How to prepare it:

Cut the beef ribs into bite-sized pieces. Peel and chop the onion. Put a deep casserole with some butter on a heat. Once the butter has melted, add the onion and sauté for 2 minutes. Now add the meat and fry the meat on all sides. Add the bay leaves and cloves and pour 100 ml of the beef stock. Put the lid on the pan and simmer for 4 hours. Stir regularly and add some beef stock if everything boils dry. Cut the mushrooms into quarters. Add after 4 hours of stewing and leave to stand for another 30 minutes. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees.

Peel the potatoes and bring them to the boil with a good amount of water. Cook for 13 minutes or until soft enough for mash. Mash the potatoes and stir them with some milk until smoothly mashed

Wash the apple and remove the core. Cut the apples into thin rings.

Place the meat with the mushrooms at the bottom of a baking dish (remove the bay leaves and cloves). Cover with the mash. Place the apple rings on top and add a little butter. Put in the oven for another 20 minutes.
